Blood Solidarity at the “Innovations to Rebuild Ukraine” Conference in Manchester

The Blood Solidarity project was recently presented at the “Innovations to Rebuild Ukraine” business and investment conference, held in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Organised by White Patch Consulting and U-Nation, the event brought together representatives of Ukrainian communities, British businesses, investors and local authorities. Attendees included Ukrainian MPs, mayors, regional administration officials, representatives of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, and British partners and businesses.

Solidarity goes beyond infrastructure

Project representatives Anatolii Shalaiev and Ruslan Panchyshyn spoke with conference participants about the mission of Blood Solidarity — breaking down language and information barriers around blood donation for Ukrainians living in the UK.

The Blood Solidarity banner was on display throughout the conference, drawing attention to the importance of blood donation and community support.

Recovery is not only about infrastructure, investment and technology. It is also about human solidarity, mutual support, and the willingness to help one another.

Thank you to our ambassadors

We are especially grateful to our ambassadors: Nick Williams from White Patch Consulting and Paul Warburton, Councillor at Warrington Borough Council. Their involvement helps build trust between communities and raise awareness of blood donation as a practical act of solidarity.

About the project

Blood Solidarity is delivered with the support of The National Lottery Community Fund. We share information about blood donation within the Ukrainian community in the UK, develop awareness-raising materials, and help people take their first step towards becoming a donor.
