Ukrainian House UK Leaders Nominated for the Best of Manchester Awards 2026: Recognition of Media and Social Initiatives

The community and media initiatives led by the team at International Centre Ukrainian House UK CIC have received significant official recognition from the Manchester City Council. The organisation’s leaders — Anatolii Shalaiev and Prof. Ruslan Panchyshyn — have been nominated for the prestigious Best of Manchester Awards 2026 across their respective key areas of work.

The recognition of their contributions will take place during dedicated official ceremonies in September, leading up to the final flagship event:

  • 14 September 2026 — Ceremony celebrating achievements in media, communications, and public broadcasting, where Anatolii Shalaiev is nominated (recognising his work as creator and host of the weekly radio programme “Razom” on ALLFM 96.9 and the strengthening of the community’s media presence);
  • 15 September 2026 — Ceremony honouring social and community impact projects, where Prof. Ruslan Panchyshyn is nominated for coordinating the extensive humanitarian and blood donation initiative “Blood Solidarity — Drop of Life”;
  • October 2026 — The Grand Final Ceremony of the Best of Manchester Awards, bringing together key award winners and civic leaders driving change across the city.

These nominations highlight the multifaceted impact of the organisation’s work: from building bridges of solidarity in public health to advancing high-quality Ukrainian-language and bilingual broadcasting across Greater Manchester.

The Ukrainian House UK team extends its sincere gratitude to Manchester’s civic leadership — Bev Craig, Mayor of Greater Manchester; Shaukat Ali, Lord Mayor of Manchester; Tom Stannard, Chief Executive of Manchester City Council; and Cllr Garry Bridges, Interim Leader of Manchester City Council — for their trust, dedication to community empowerment, and ongoing support of Ukrainian initiatives.

“Being recognised across multiple distinct fields reflects the power of systematic teamwork. We are deeply grateful to the city of Manchester for its openness and support, and we remain dedicated to strengthening the British-Ukrainian partnership and serving our community,” Ukrainian House UK representatives noted.
