Ukrainian House UK at Aid Trust’s 35th Anniversary: Music, Gratitude and Symbolic Gifts

On Saturday, representatives of Ukrainian House UK CIC joined the 35th Anniversary Celebration of Aid Trust. Friends, partners and volunteers came together to mark three and a half decades of ministry, compassion and help for people in need.

On behalf of our organisation, Ruslan Panchyshyn, Director of Ukrainian House UK, and Anatolii Shalaiev, Director of Communication, congratulated Bernard and the whole Aid Trust team. We thanked them warmly for their long-standing support of the Ukrainian community and for always standing with us when help is needed most. The evening was joyful and full of heart, with speeches, songs, music and sincere words of thanks.

Bernard Coker: our Blood Solidarity Ambassador

We are proud that Bernard Coker is an ambassador of our Blood Solidarity Project. Blood Solidarity encourages Ukrainians in the UK to learn about blood donation and to become NHS blood donors. We run it in partnership with NHS Blood and Transplant, and it is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. Bernard’s support helps us reach more people and shows what can happen when communities stand together. The values of Aid Trust, care for others and practical help, are very close to the idea of solidarity behind our project.

We thank the National Lottery Community Fund and every National Lottery player, whose support makes this work possible.

Bandura performance by Taras Shalaiev

A special moment for the guests was a bandura performance by Taras Shalaiev. The sound of this traditional Ukrainian instrument touched many people in the room. It is often through music that the soul of our culture can be heard most clearly.

Gifts from Ukrainian House UK

As a sign of respect and gratitude, we presented Aid Trust with:

  • an army vyshyvanka, which joins Ukrainian tradition with the strength of our defenders;
  • a T-shirt of our organisation;
  • a commemorative badge;
  • a letter of thanks for their support and partnership.

Thank you to the organisers and guests

We also thank everyone who helped make the evening possible: those who spoke, sang and played, helped during the event, set up and cleared up, baked and looked after the guests. Special thanks go to Ukraine Hub Preston and the Chorley Ukrainian community for the delicious food, which made the evening even warmer.

Ukrainian House UK congratulates Aid Trust on this anniversary and wishes them many more years of fruitful work, God’s blessing and new good deeds. We are proud of our cooperation and look forward to continuing to walk this road together.

Slava Ukraini!
