The initiative “BLOOD SOLIDARITY \u2013 DROP OF LIFE: UKRAINIAN DONORS IN THE UK”<\/strong> continues to reach new heights. Thanks to our strategic partnership with Opora UK<\/strong>, information regarding the vital importance of blood donation has reached over 11,000 people<\/strong> through their digital platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This incredible reach demonstrates the Ukrainian community\u2019s strong desire to give back to the British society that has welcomed them and to support the National Health Service (NHS)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Opora UK<\/strong> team for featuring our project and helping us connect with thousands of potential donors. Special thanks go to Yuliia Huba<\/strong>, the Mental Health Project Coordinator, for her unwavering support and dedication to this noble cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Your Contribution Matters<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Currently, fewer than 5%<\/strong> of blood donors in the UK are from ethnic minority backgrounds, yet the NHS<\/strong> requires new donors every single day. By standing in solidarity, the Ukrainian community can help address this shortage. Remember, just one donation can save up to 3 lives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Become a Donor: 4 Simple Steps<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. Check Eligibility:<\/strong> Ensure you are at least 17 years old<\/strong>, weigh over 50 kg<\/strong>, and are in good general health.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Register:<\/strong> \u0412\u0456\u0434\u0432\u0456\u0434\u0430\u0439\u0442\u0435 blood.co.uk<\/strong> or download the NHS Give Blood<\/strong> app to find a local donation center and book your slot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Donate:<\/strong> The entire process takes approximately 45\u201360 minutes<\/strong>, with the actual blood collection lasting only 8\u201310 minutes<\/strong>. Please remember to bring a photo ID<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
