Preston recently hosted an exceptional and deeply moving Refugee Day celebration, bringing together diverse cultures, music, and a shared sense of hospitality. The day was filled with rich cultural elements, including the resonant and soulful strings of the traditional Ukrainian bandura, beautifully performed by Mariia Petrivska<\/strong>. Attendees also enjoyed a variety of fun, engaging activities for children \u2014 which Olha Shalaieva<\/strong> actively helped organize and support \u2014 alongside the warm hospitality of an incredible Ukrainian kitchen serving authentic cuisine. Together, they helped build a true sense of home away from home.<\/p>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Bringing the Voice of “Together” to Preston<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During the event, Anatolii Shalaiev<\/strong> had the privilege of meeting incredible local leaders and organizers, including Bernard Coker<\/strong> and Viktoria Murych<\/strong>, alongside Preston’s wonderful Ukrainian community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a perfect opportunity to introduce the audience to “Razom \/ Together” on ALL FM 96.9<\/strong> \u2014 the only Ukrainian radio program in the UK \u2014 and to share the message of a vital community initiative: #BLOODSOLIDARITY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This project is our heartfelt thank you to the British people for opening their hearts and doors to Ukrainians during a difficult time,”<\/em> Ruslan shared during the event. “It is an act of true solidarity. A single blood donation can save up to three lives. Joining this initiative is simple, accessible, and deeply honorable for everyone involved.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a special moment of the celebration, Ruslan, representing the International Centre Ukrainian House UK CIC<\/strong>, was honored to present an official Letter of Appreciation to Viktoria Murych<\/strong> and her dedicated team. Their tireless work in supporting the local community and preserving vital cultural ties is truly invaluable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
