Ruslan Panchyshyn Attends Service to Mark the Beginning of the Legal Year at Liverpool Cathedral

Ruslan Panchyshyn, Director of the International Centre Ukrainian House UK CIC, attended A Service to Mark the Beginning of the Legal Year, held at Liverpool Cathedral on Sunday 11 October 2026. He was invited by the High Sheriff of Merseyside, Hazel Snell, DL.

The service was led by the preacher HHJ Andrew Menary, KC DL, former Resident Judge and Honorary Recorder of Liverpool. Members of the Merseyside legal community gathered in the cathedral to mark the start of the new legal year in a spirit of prayer, gratitude and shared values.

“It was a truly special moment: solemn, meaningful, and filled with the unique atmosphere of this magnificent cathedral. I am grateful for the opportunity to feel part of the Merseyside legal community. In moments like these you really sense the unity of the profession, respect for tradition and mutual support,” said Ruslan Panchyshyn.

After the service, guests also enjoyed a reminder of Liverpool’s most famous sons, with a photo alongside the city’s Fab Four, The Beatles.

Ruslan also highlighted #BloodSolidarity, a campaign that brings people together to save lives. Thanks to National Lottery players, The National Lottery Community Fund supports #BloodSolidarity. He encouraged everyone to give blood.

He thanked Hazel Snell for the invitation and warm welcome.
