Celebrating 35 Years of Ukraine’s Independence 🇺🇦
Today, International Centre “Ukrainian House in UK” CIC proudly joins Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine across the United Kingdom in celebrating 35 years of Ukraine’s Independence.
For Ukrainians today, independence means more than a date in history. It represents freedom, resilience, unity and the determination to protect our country, our culture and our future.
Here in the UK, we are proud to strengthen the Ukrainian community while building friendship and cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom. Through our community activities, the Ukrainian radio show “RAZOM / Together” on ALL FM 96.9, and initiatives such as Крапля життя: Солідарність крові, we continue to bring people together and encourage Ukrainians to make a positive contribution to the communities that have welcomed us.
We are especially grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for supporting our Blood Solidarity initiative, which helps raise awareness of blood donation and encourages members of the Ukrainian community to become blood donors and support the NHS.
On this Independence Day, we remember those who have given their lives for Ukraine and thank everyone who continues to defend our freedom. We also express our heartfelt gratitude to the people of the United Kingdom for their solidarity and continued support.

During our conversation in the studio, Iryna shared her personal journey and highlighted the critical importance of regular blood donation. She also discussed how modern digital tools play a vital role in connecting donors, responding swiftly to urgent needs, and ultimately saving even more lives.
“Blood Solidarity” is not just a campaign—it is a powerful movement where every single drop represents solidarity, care, and an invisible bridge of humanity connecting Ukraine and the UK.
🎶 From Canada to the UK: Tradition and New Beginnings with Natalka Jaddock
We were also thrilled to be joined by Natalka Jaddock, a woman with an inspiring journey and a vibrant heart. Years ago, while living in faraway Canada, Natalka passionately supported Ukrainians through her singing. Now, her path has brought her here to the United Kingdom.
Today, Natalka is an active community advocate and a proud new mother, raising her 3-month-old son, Tristan. Despite the busy joys of early motherhood, she remains deeply committed to cultural activism. During the live broadcast, Natalka completely captivated our listeners with her beautiful voice, performing traditional, ancient Ukrainian songs that resonated as a true testament to the resilience of our heritage.
