Ukrainian Community Voices on Air: Razom Radio in Manchester

A recent live broadcast of Razom Radio on ALLFM 96.9 in Manchester brought together key voices of the Ukrainian community to discuss education, cultural identity, and humanitarian initiatives in the UK.

The programme featured Vira Tymchyshyn, educator and community activist, and Ruslan Panchyshyn, Director of Ukrainian House UK CIC and initiator of the Blood Solidarity project.

The discussion was hosted by Anatolii Shalaiev, Director of Communications at Ukrainian House UK CIC, who guided the conversation on the role of community action and media in supporting Ukrainians in the UK.

Education, Culture and Community Leadership

During the broadcast, Vira Tymchyshyn shared her experience as an educator and active member of the Ukrainian community in Manchester.

She is widely recognised for organising and leading community rallies and public demonstrations in support of Ukraine, teaching and supporting Ukrainian education initiatives in the UK, and promoting Ukrainian language and cultural identity among children and young people.

Vira also played a key role in organising the “Homin” Ukrainian Choir concert, an important cultural event that brought the community together and strengthened connections through music.

Her work reflects a strong commitment to preserving Ukrainian heritage and fostering unity within the diaspora.

Blood Solidarity: Turning Support into Action

A central part of the discussion focused on the humanitarian initiative “Drop of Life: Ukrainians for Blood Donation in the UK”, led by Ruslan Panchyshyn.
